Our reputation, happiness, & finesse all depend upon our ability to deliver value to our employer/business customers accurately and consistently. Every human is born with different skill sets and grows up in different socio-economic conditions, and this fosters diversity amongst us all in terms of competencies, knowledge and opportunities (work, harmony & life expectations). However, we all need to serve our customers (internal and external) to be able to earn our desired status and monetary wellbeing. And that’s only possible when we have high levels of innate EQ mapped to our awareness of our evolving life + work events/ecosystem. When we are able to empathetically relate to other people’s problems we can then easily draw upon our skills, wisdom and contacts to either resolve customers challenges or provide breakthrough value to boost our reputation and earnings. A higher EQ thus becomes critical to sustain our ability to proactively ebvaluate, understand and resolve our customers pain points and mapped to their changing their aspirations.

Customer Satisfaction is obsolete, customer delight is the new normal

In a hypercompetitive world with rapid business, technological and socio-cultural changes/upheavals, retaining win-win customer relationships is one of the greatest challenges facing individuals and institutions alike. A higher EQ with a greater focus on boosting innate empathy-harmony levels enables us to minutely understand / appreciate customer issues better than the customers themselves, thanks to our SME abilities (subject matter expert skills) . And when, thanks to our higher EQ blended with superior thinking + working abilities, we are able to intuitively deliver wow value to our customers, we create a sustainable high customer delight metric. Consistently delighting customers entails greater customer affinity and loyalty which in turn raises entry barriers (for our competitors) and also raises exit barriers (customers cant think of a life without us!). Higher EQ is thus vital for maintaining a superior customer centricity which is the pivot upon which our lifelong reputation and earnings’ ROI are dependent. Higher EQ = Higher Earnings & Superior Reputation which then creates a feeling of deep satisfaction and enhanced self-confidence & self-worth.

Customer Centricity at home / own family

Being social earthlings, our families are great sources of inner harmony and happiness. Our families are the amongst the best supporting infrastructure that we all are blessed with. Hence sustaining harmonious win-win relations at home necessitates that we apply empathetic customer centricity best practices even at home with all all members of our extended family (own family, friends and relatives). Often we take our own family members for granted and erode their happiness and even respect in severe cases. Family EQ feeds on our own higher EQ and hence its everyone’s responsibility to consciously elevate own and family EQ levels as harmony at home relates to harmony at work while boosting our ability to soak in tough mental + physical challenges. According to research most dysfunctional people come from families that suffer from consistent disharmony & distress with low or zero EQ levels. Thus, building, practicing and nurturing customer centricity at home with higher levels of EQ is important for our own mental health and even physical wellbeing (as our immune system and mental state are closely – consistently linked).
