Job description

We are currently looking for an Account Manager (B2B retail) for the German market. Together with your colleagues from the sales team, you will continue to sell our large assortment of cool, practical and sustainable products to our Eastern neighbors. In this position, you are responsible for expanding our customer base and maintaining the current relationships. Your base location will be at the Netherlands office, but they prefer for you to visit your customers as much as possible to strengthen the relationship and introduce the newest items. The ratio of office/customer visits will be around 70/30.

Duties:
  • You are going to expand the clientele of large retailers in Germany
  • You enjoy calling and visiting new prospects, but will also work actively with our current customers
  • You maintain and expand the strong relationships we already have and of course, you can get more out of it because of your knowledge and skills
  • As a trend watcher, you like to follow the latest developments within the German market, and you like to think along with marketing on a strategic level
  • Our client is represented at several fairs in Germany each year, so you will be able to generate more business from the fairs

Requirements

  • You know how to find commercial opportunities, and with your strong drive plus a good dose of perseverance and guts, you grab them. You take every opportunity to generate revenue.
  • You can easily convince someone else and your communication skills are therefore excellent. This is because you have already gained at least a few years of experience in a similar position and you are able to convince us with your previously delivered work.
  • You speak and write German on a business fluent level (C1/2) and are fluent in English
  • Logically you get along well with Excel and various systems

They import and develop products in the field of travel items, gadgets, lightning, toys, pet supplies, household and electronic items. You can find their products in hundreds of stores. Their client base consists of large retailers, e-tailers and smaller retailers.
