Job description

For our client we are looking for a Billing & Commercial Operations Analyst. You will work in the Credit & Commercial Operations team. The mission of the Credit & Commercial Operations team is to be effective and efficient in delivering valuable customer experience whilst enhancing and optimizing cross-functional cooperation with the different teams in the Order to Cash chain. Within the Credit & Commercial Operations Team, the purpose of the Billing & Commercial Operations Analyst is to execute the different operational activities relating to Billing and Reporting. Creating and developing new and innovative business processes is a core task of the position. Ensuring revenue integrity is a key aspect of the position, thereby collaborating with the Accounting and the Internal Controls teams. The team will implement a new Order to Cash system in the coming year in which the function holder will play an active role. Next to this, the Billing & Commercial Operations Analyst will support the Credit & BO Manager in implementing the Credit Strategy.

The Billing & Commercial Operations Analyst is responsible for a smooth handling of the Order to Cash process, thereby ensuring the daily handling, reporting & control and process improvements relating to the Order to Cash chain.

The role is broad and covers the Order to Cash process from various angles. The tasks include :
1) Commercial Operations handling & Contract Management
  • Providing guidance to sales on admin. contract handling (contract negotiations)
  • Invoicing/Billing activities (lease/sales of locos/recharges, etc…)
  • Monitoring and follow-up on contractual conditions
  • Contracts review, Contracts checks
  • Claims Management (Invoice queries, queries on claims)
2) Commercial Operations accounting, reporting & control
  • Manage the monthly Credit note accrual and Revenue accrual positions
  • Ensure revenue integrity by making Billing Control checks
  • Various (revenue) reports to internal and external parties (e.g. insurance, investors)
  • Financial Audit liaison for Billing/revenue (Deloitte and Tokyo)
3) Credit
  • Support Manager Credit & CO Manager Dpt. to implement the Credit strategy
4) Systems Elevation
  • Contribute to set-up and implementation of new O2C process
  • Review and Improvement of business processes
  • Contribute to optimization of systems & applications

Requirements

Expertise and Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in International Business, accounting or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in project management would be a plus
  • Comfortable with new technologies and ERP-systems
  • Proficiency in MS-office (especially Excel), Qlik an advantage
  • Business level English and knowledge of German is an advantage
