Our client is looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join the new team in Amsterdam. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is exceptionally skilled at establishing and nurturing relationships with clients and is passionate about helping evolve a local business with a global background.

As a Business Development Manager, you will use your skills and network of contacts to pursue prospective clients and assist in closing business deals for the Benelux market. As an integral member of the team, the role of the Business Development Manager will involve collaborating with the global Business Development team to create new project strategies and target new enterprise clients in the Benelux region and within the Workplace Design industry.

You will generate new business opportunities, nurture strong relationships with existing clients, and strengthen and promote their brand. To do this successfully you will be active in generating new leads through market research, cold and warm calling, and networking with industry professionals. Using your interpersonal instincts and active listening you will court prospective clients, earn their trust, and work with project team members to capture projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Generating New Leads: Identifying, pursuing and appealing to their target clients
  • Market Research: Gathering and analyzing market and industry intelligence, metrics and trends, and opportunities for new business to help determine desirability and winnability
  • Cold & Warm Calling: Calling new lead opportunities to open the door for inclusion in new projects and booking first appointments
  • Courting Prospective Clients: Following up on business opportunities, setting up meetings, and proposing, organizing and executing various marketing initiatives
  • Earning the Clients Trust: Establishing and proactively maintaining strong professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the local market
  • Networking with Industry Professionals: Represent and promote their brand and its values in the marketplace by attending and participating in industry-related events
  • Attending first appointments with local Associate Designer
  • Capability to prepare materials for responding to client requests in conjunctions with our business development team and local Associate Designer
  • Pursuing prospective clients by developing a trusting professional relationship with them and by thoroughly understanding and communicating the firm’s services and experience
  • Supporting with managing client accounts

Requirements

  • Proven sales/business development experience (4+ years) in the Workplace Design industry
  • Excellent business level in Dutch (level C2) and English
  • Familiar with the Benelux Corporate Real Estate market
  • Established network of contacts with high level executives and real estate agents
  • Preferably knowledge with interior design projects
  • Well organized, articulate, have an eye for detail, resourceful, hands-on and results-oriented
  • Able to meet targets, have a mature attitude and be a great team player
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Self-motivated and with good energy
  • Integrity and a great sense of teamwork

Working conditions

Fulltime position
Traveling on a regular base to the London office
