Are you ready to be a pioneer on the French market introducing a range of FMCG products to a broad public?

Role Overview:

As the Sales & Operations Manager based in Paris, it will be your task to introduce the client’s product range to the French mass market via Supermarket and retail channels. Next to that you will ensure that existing business in the pharmacy and e-commerce channels will see continuous growth. Having ambition by nature you will make optimal use of the given freedom and own area of responsibility to reach the set commercial objectives. You will have close contact with both internal and external distributor functions and build and grow sales relationships with French retailers, internal and external stakeholders, project team members and management leaders. In doing so you will manage the daily local business and execute the sales strategy in the French market successfully. In this role you will report to the Senior Business Development Manager EMEA & Benelux by giving insights into the French market and the development of the business opportunities.

Next to the above the role of Sales & Operations Manager knows these deliverables:

· Further development of the business in France both through new channels and introducing new products
· Through strategic account management you will identify and develop new business opportunities with distribution and retail partners
· You will ensure accurate and timely forecasting of distributor sales within standard procedures, as well as in-market stock levels and ordering pipeline
· Together with your distributor you will ensure the growth of distribution levels as per the agreed yearly KPIs
· You will monitor and report relevant competition and market intelligence as well as relevant shopper and category insights, and shape them into actionable in-store executions and activities
· Together with the distributor and the marketing agency you will take charge and follow up on marketing activities
· You will leverage business analytics to influence customer and company decision making at top-to-top levels; utilizing internal/customer business systems


Requirements for the Sales & Operations Manager:

To enjoy and be successful in the role of Sales & Operations Manager you must be a pioneer and entrepreneur with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills as well as versatile communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships. You thrive on working in a fast-paced and dynamic organisation. You need to be self-motivated and result driven in this pioneering function and be able to manage your time independently. Next to your commercial knowledge you also need to have solid financial acumen and knowledge of P&L.

In addition, you need to fulfil the following requirements:

· C2 level of French along with business fluency in English
· At least 8 years of experience in the FMCG industry together with a solid network in the French retail landscape across different channels
· Higher education degree (Bachelor or Master) in business and/or commercial studies
· Previous experience in working in Account Management, Category Management, or Retail Buying in the French FMCG market
· Proven track record in achieving new business targets and objectives as well as developing opportunities into high performing, profitable sales streams
· Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications, sales database, and web applications.
