Our client is an innovative producer of pet food for the European market. They work with more than 470 clients, including big European retailers, supermarket chains, specialized pet shops, and veterinarians. They are the second largest producer of private label pet food in Europe.

Job description

In this role you will be the link between customers, sales managers, production, and other internal departments. After agreements have been made with the sales managers, product managers, and the client you will handle the coordination of the order processing. Your goal is to ensure that the entire process from order to delivery runs smoothly and is implemented correctly. You will be the point of contact for the customer regarding order management, complaints, and other questions. You will also be the main point of contact for the internal team for topics related to customers and the order process.

Some of your specific responsibilities include:
· Supporting the sales manager and acting as point of contact for customers in order to provide efficient and high quality service.
· Attending sales meetings.
· Initiating and sometimes implementing improvement actions for the benefit of the company.
· Preparing forecasts and analyses in collaboration with sales management, and following up on action plans.
· Preparing reports for customers and sales management about turnover, outstanding contracts, stock, contract agreements, invoices etc.
· Managing customer communication.
· Responding to requests from customers about volume, product, logistics, and QA information.
· Preparing weekly reports for customers about current orders and stock levels.
· Ensuring that your knowledge relating to NPD, QA, production and supply chain is sufficient to be able to respond properly to questions from customers, and taking initiative to contact the relevant departments to increase your knowledge.
· Ensuring that information in the customer files is up to date (Masterdata).
· Providing information to customers about the company and products based on existing information booklets and passing more complex questions on to specialists.
· Keeping the sales team informed about customer information.
· Monitoring the order handling by planning overviews, forwarding data etc.


- HBO/Bachelor’s level of education
- At least 2 years of experience in a commercial/production environment, preferably within a similar role
- Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
- French and English fluency at a business level. Dutch is a plus.
- You are accurate but flexible and able to keep a strong overview and work well within a team.
- You have strong communication skills and are a good listener and motivator.
- You are able to work in a fast moving environment and handle pressure well.
- You are comfortable working with a variety of people and departments and gathering and providing information between them.
