Job description

Tasks:
- You will be responsible for the administration of datacenters located both in Germany and the Netherlands. This includes booking and archiving of purchase and sales invoices.
- Managing & optimalisation of financial close and periodic reporting process
- Maintain accounting and reporting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with e.g. Dutch and German GAAP and tax norms;
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual report and the annual audit;
- Support the business controller in analysis and reporting.
- Support finance (IT) projects

For the operational business of our client, we are looking for an ambitious, analytical Controller who wants to make an impact on setting up top-tier, modern, scalable finance processes. This is a broad position in a specialized, highly data driven environment.

First focus within the role will be responsible for the administration of a datacenter. You are the one that controls all financial aspects such as booking purchase invoices, invoicing customers, assist in VAT returns and the month-end closing process.

Subsequently you will support the business controller in performing financial analysis and reporting. Together you will improve the finance processes and IT systems.

- Master degree in Finance, Economics or Accountancy.
- You have an excellent level of German and English is a must have. Speaking Dutch is preferred.
- Working experience in Germany or significant working experience with German companies
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience within Audit, Advisory and/or Controlling.
- (Strong) knowledge of Excel, experience and/or affinity with ERP (Exact) and reporting (PowerBI) tools
- Solid technical finance background (Dutch Gaap); able to understand the core financial processes, do the financial sanity check and build mature, scalable processes
- Analytical, eager to know what drives the figures and what the business impact is.
