As the HR Officer you are responsible for the HR activities related to both the Dutch and Belgium office. In this role you will focus on the recruitment of new personnel, advising and executing the full scope of the recruitment process and eventually the selection process of the candidates. By publishing vacancies, maintaining contact with applicants and agencies, doing interviews and eventually drafting up the employment contracts, you are in charge of finding new members to support the Dutch and Belgium team. This does also mean that you will occasionally visit the office in Antwerp to conduct interviews. Another focus point in this position is working on personnel management and administration. You are in charge of executing the agreed labor conditions and legal requirements while also acting as the key person for advise to employees and managers. Managing the entire personnel administration, keeping track of planning of personal matters (anniversaries and contract expiration) and drafting up content for HR communications are also part of this role. you are also in charge of the payroll activities for both the Dutch and Belgium office, with a total of 45 employees.

The HR Officer is also responsible for executing the entire absenteeism process, policy and legislation. You will be processing sick and recovery reports while also maintaining contact with employees and other stakeholders like the UWV. Working on the prevention of long-term absenteeism and identifying bottlenecks within the organization is also part of the role. Other focus points in this role are taking care of the education and development for employees, by identifying the training needs and proposing programs while maintaining the budget. While also being responsible for the salary and performance processes within the company.


As the HR Officer you are the go to person for the Dutch and Belgium team members, having excellent communication skills and a emphatic character is therefore key in this role. You are a social person, and very transparent. We are looking for someone that is an expert in the Dutch labor law and payroll, and that has a passion for HR. You have a pro-active attitude, and preferably you have experience working in a international organization. You can work in a discrete manner and find trust important. Other requirements for this role are:

· Fluent level of the Dutch & English language, a level of French is an advantage in this position. ;
· Knowledge of Dutch labor legislation and payroll, having experience working with the Belgium labor law and payroll would be considered a big plus.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
· Available for 24 to 32 hours per week;

Working conditions

  • Contract directly with our client. First contract will be a year contract, that can be extended in a permanent contract.
  • Salary based on experience.
  • Role is open for 24 - 32 hours per week
  • 27 holidays, with an additional 13 ADV days.
  • Travel allowance of € 0,19 per km.
