Job description

As the Logistics Analyst you act as a bridge between the organization and the customers and suppliers. You will provide day-to-day direction and execution on overall EMEA business requirements, policies and processes to support the effective management and performance of the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You oversee key activities such as ERP transactions both manual and via EDI.

  • You will support vendor and business partner relationships.

  • Execute day to day processes and perform data management applying a combination of data mining, data modeling, and data analysis; cost/benefit analysis and/or problem analysis.

  • Undertake queries and maintain reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs to support the business.

  • Responsible for conducting analysis and creating reports of weekly and monthly KPIs.

  • Close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure a successful order and ship/receiving process

  • Clearly communicate to team members (both internal and external), vendors and customers.

  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, identify inefficiencies, and cost optimization opportunities.

  • Develop and implement protocols and practices to ensure effectiveness and efficiency for strategic logistics initiatives

  • Support inter-department projects/activities as determined necessary

  • Monitor and standardize 3PL flows

Requirements

  • Candidates must be living in the vicinity of Amsterdam
  • At leas 4 to 5 years of similar work experience in international logistics, in a freight forwarding or multinational company
  • A background in understanding Supply Chain Processes, especially Logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of shipping terms and Incoterms 2010
  • Working knowledge of EU customs laws and regulations, including product classification, rules of origin, and VAT regimes
  • Knowledge of Export Controls
  • ERP system knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package [Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook, PowerPoint]; especially excel must be on an expert level
  • Experience with Oracle Transport Management System (OTM) and database analysis preferred
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Concise and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across divisions, functions and levels in a global organization
  • Excellent organization skills and effective time management skills to see tasks through to the end
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Interact and communicate effectively with internal customers, vendors, contractors, and management in a professional manner
  • Self-motivated, flexible, customer oriented, resourceful and enthusiastic
  • Interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to meet daily & weekly deadlines to achieve the departmental SLAs
  • Respond professionally in an effective and clear manner to common inquiries or complaints from customers and suppliers
  • Ability to handle pressure and diverse issues simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work

Working conditions

This is a full time position, starting with 12 month agency contract

Start date: asap

Salary between 2800-3100 euros gross monthly, depending on experience

Salary from: €2800,-
Salary to: €3100,-
