Software Developer | Cybersecurity

Zaltbommel, reference 2021-01269

Job description

What you tell your family about your job
I create software that makes sure customers cannot be hacked. I work in cyber security; yes something with computers.

What your job is all about
Your team creates containers. All in small projects. Together these containers form the software solution on which the entire business relies. The software runs on bare metal (k8s), in Amazon or in Azure. It does not matter which programming language you use, as long as it works. And your colleagues think so too. Keep it simple, fail fast. And CI / CD is a must. So unit tests. The software started out as a monolith, so occasionally you adjust existing code in it. This is PHP / Symfony2. These days we see more and more Python and especially Go. You also design the solution, come up with ideas and participate in discussions, so we lose as little time as possible.

What your day looks like
Most of your day is about coding. Every day your team starts with a stand-up - if you work from home that day, you dial in. Depending on what comes up, you work on issues from Gitlab, you participate in design sessions, or you check your own results for correct operation in production. You prefer to participate in their pizza sessions; a company-wide afternoon / evening event where they do a technical deep-dive on a specific topic (usually about security)

This is you
  • You have excellent knowledge of Go, Java, Python, PHP or a comparable language
  • You are smarter than most people
  • You do not run the risk of an XSS exploit in your code. Never.
  • You know what a Lambda function is, and yes, YOU don't need Amazon to run it
  • You find a good balance between addressing technical debt and features for the customer
  • Although you have your preferences, you don’t mind programming in another language every once in a while
  • And if you are very honest with yourself, there is more to you than what your current job has to offer

Working conditions

Working in an environment with wonderful and highly skilled professionals. Room for growth and becoming the best in your business via coaching, training and education. Naturally they offer a good salary (between 3.750 and 4.250 gross monthly) and interesting secondary terms of employment (including a fixed €250 mobility bonus). Lunch is served every day at their office and good coffee is waiting to help start your days right.

Sound exciting?? Don’t miss your chance to work for this amazing and innovative company!

Salary from: €3750,-
Salary to: €4250,-
